The property now known as Olentangy Village Apartments was once an amusement park full of excitement, beauty, and magic. Today, many of Olentangy Village's longtime residents, as well as newcomers, would agree that the Village possesses a tranquility and charm seldom found in apartment settings.
At our leasing office, you can find many historical pictures of the property that date back to 1909. In 1938, the beautiful Olentangy Village Apartments were built. The 404-apartment project is true Georgian style architecture, and the center Archway building is a replica of the Virginia Statehouse in Williamsburg, Virginia.
In 1984, Olentangy Village Associates purchased the apartments with the goal of maintaining and improving the quality of life at Olentangy Village. Their success was made public in 1987, when the Greater Columbus Convention and Visitor's Bureau presented Olentangy Village with the City Beautiful Award. In 1988 and 1989, the River and the Ravine buildings were built in an effort to further enhance the property and add a more modern component to the historical site.
Today, Olentangy Village is noted for its longevity, beautiful architecture, charm, friendly atmosphere, convenience, and immaculate grounds. It continues to improve on a daily basis.
